Pollinators in the Garden

Join us at local Timberland Regional Library Branches to find out what kinds of seasonal plant varieties grow in our area that are beneficial to pollinators and how to develop integrated pest management practices to protect these important insects in our gardens.

1st Saturday Workshops


All workshops scheduled from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and will be held at the Grays Harbor County Extension office.

  • Saturday, March 4 – Spring into Planting – Planting 101 for vegetables and annual flowers, choosing seeds, understanding our climate
  • Saturday, April 1 – Capitalizing on Alternative Garden Beds – best practices for containers, raised beds, vertical gardens, cold frames, straw bales, etc.
  • Saturday, May 6 – Attracting Wildlife into Your Garden – considering habitat, aesthetics, and long-season wildlife interest
  • Saturday, June 3 – Tips for Practical Gardening – tips and hints to make gardening easier and more successful
